Halloween is my favorite holiday and when my kids were, well, kids, we were the go-to house for breaks between trick or treating. From breakfast through dinner, Halloween themed foods made a fun day even more fun. I liked that the kids would stop by our house for actual food rather than filling up on candy, and the kids liked having the fun house. These next ideas are sure to inspire a spooktacular day for your kiddos!
Halloween Breakfast
Start the day with a hauntingly healthy breakfast with some, or all, of these next ideas.
Everyone loves pancakes! These easy spiderwebs topped with a plastic spider or regular pancakes with a whipped cream ghost are sure to delight kids of all ages. Add shredded zucchini, applesauce or bananas to the mix to sneak in a fruit or veggie. 😉
The Seasoned Mom whips up these adorably easy pumpkin smoothies using clear cups and a Sharpie, and a pumpkin fruit cup found at Simplee Thrifty rounds out a devilishly delicious breakfast.
Halloween Lunch
Next up: a school lunch that is sure to be a *scream*!
A lunch fit for little ghouls and beasts…in other words, your lovely children. Cuties turn into jack-o-lanterns and string cheese sticks turn into ghosts in seconds with a Sharpie. Use Halloween cookie cutters for festive cheese and crackers.

The Mummy Calzone and Snakewich can be filled with whatever ingredients your kids prefer, and these Mummy Meatballs and burgers topped with Jack-o-lantern cheese will be a gobbled up in minutes! Festive orange peppers become cute Jack-o-lanterns when stuffed with chicken and rice for a healthy howl of a meal.
