Last year when we were in Florida I found the most amazing sugar scrub and was so bummed when I finally ran out a couple weeks ago. I was going to buy more, but then I thought “how hard can this be” and decided to give it a try.
Sugar scrub SO EASY to make!
And better yet, I had all of the ingredients in my pantry and I bet you will, too!
Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup sugar
1/3 Cup oil (I used the sunflower & olive oil blend I accidentally bought a few weeks ago, but you could use olive oil or even melted coconut oil, too)
2 T honey
1 t vanilla extract
Mix everything together and that’s it, you’re done. I told you it is easy to make your own sugar scrub! Now wait until you try it- your hands will thank you!
(Like my candle? I am really taking bringing hygge into my home seriously!)
You can play with the sugar:liquid ratio until the consistency is perfect for you. The same goes for the vanilla, too- add more or less to make it a scent you love. You could also use mint extract or essential oils if you’d like.
This would make a great gift, too. I need to be on the lookout for cute containers, but small mason jars with lids would work great in a pinch.
One hand washing & you are going to *love* how amazing your hands feel. The sugar is an exfoliant and the oil hydrates dry skin. (If you are looking for ways to improve your skin overall, Millennial Pink Pennies has a terrific morning skin care routine you have to check out!)
