Is it just me or is January c r a w l i n g by?! Seriously, it is like the Monday of months! I am ready for February to get here because then we are one month closer to S~U~M~M~E~R! Since we still have a ways to go, I am going to embrace each day, month, holiday & season and celebrate all of it, starting with some fun & beautiful Valentine’s Day decor. Ready for a round-up? I’ve searched high & low for Valentine’s Day decorating ideas that are easy, but classy, and also that won’t break the bank for those of us who aren’t necessarily feeling the DIY spirit this month.
Ready? I found a lot of great decorating ideas that I haven’t seen before. I hope they are new to you, too!
Valentine’s Day Decor
Love-ly Wreaths
Dress up your kitchen with these easy DIY Valentine wreaths! I love how they are hung from ribbons from inside the cabinet door- no risk of marring the fronts! (Spoiler alert: these wreaths can be reused for winter wreaths, too! Check out DIY With My Guy to see how and for more DIY home ideas.)
Felt Heart
How much do I love this sweet red felt heart? So much! Wait til you see how easy this is to make, too. The Idea Room has a tutorial and a video- it doesn’t get much easier than that!
He’s Her Lobster!
Friends fans will need this You Are My Lobster print! Visit Designer Trapped for download instructions. I LOVE THIS!!
Mantle Banners
I have a bit of an obsession when it comes to mantle decorating and one thing I love to use is banners! This set of three burlap and felt banners are wide enough for most mantles and cost just $12 shipped!
Pillows!
My husband & I have a bit of a difference of opinion when it comes to pillows. He thinks you can have too many pillows, while I say you can never have too many pillows… If you’re with me, and you also share my love of buffalo check, you’re going to love these inexpensive throw pillow covers! I like these because you can change the cover seasonally and always have decor that fits your style. Be sure not to forget to order pillow inserts, too!
XOXO
These giant XOXO letters are great and can be used year after year. These letter are available at all of the larger craft stores, like Joann & Michael’s. A little red and pink craft paint and this is a great DIY Valentine’s Day decoration.
Valentine’s Day Garland
This card garland is the cutest DIY garland ever! You may even have an old deck of cards that are missing a few that could be upcycled into this great Valentine’s Day decor.
XOXO Table Runner
This is another quick DIY using white craft paper and black craft paint. This could be the perfect Valentine’s Day table runner!
Branches
If you have a pretty white pitcher you have just about everything you need to make this inexpensive Valentine’s Day vase. Glue small foam hearts to the branches with a glue gun and this DIY will come together in just a few minutes.
Chalkboard
Don’t forget to update your chalkboard! This is actually a printable from Nest of Posies, but it’s also a great DIY for your chalkboard, too!
Love Sign
For $18, this is a great Valentine’s Day sign! It’ not quite big enough for the porch, but it would look great on a mantle or propped in a corner like this one!
I can’t wait to get started decorating for Valentine’s Day! Of course I am stuck in Illinois for the moment, but hopefully I will get up to Michigan in time to cozy up our cottage a little. 😉 If you have any DIY Valentine’s Day ideas let me know in the comments- and be sure to check out our Valentine’s Day board on Pinterest for tons of great ideas!
