Confession Friday: I’m not done Christmas shopping. Normally I am done sometime in November because I like to have all of our gifts wrapped and under the tree pretty much the second it’s decorated. This year I am having such a hard time coming up with ideas for everyone on my list! Since the kids are all adults of course they just want cash, which is fine, I guess, but I like for them to have some gifts to open, too! And I think no matter how old they get we will always do stockings. Good things come in small packages, after all. My girls really look forward to their stockings and I try to load them up with fun, useful and thoughtful gifts.
For my husband- we started this new thing last year: our gifts to each other are stocking stuffers only. $100 limit, minimum 5 items, everything has to fit in the stocking. It’s fun, and it actually takes some thought! I added a caveat to mine- no kitchen gadgets. I think I have all of them… Minimum 5 items means we actually have to think about what we give each other.
Are you guys in the same position? I’m getting a little stressed! I’ve been Pinteresting and Googling and looking at gift guides all morning so I can finish up. We’re going to explore a new “little town” tomorrow where I will <fingers crossed> hopefully be able to finish up on some smaller, hand-picked with love gifts for my mom and our girls. But the girls’ boyfriends? My brother? My stepdad? I’m at a loss.
So I thought I’d post a few of the gifts I am seeing in all of these guides & searches just in case any of you need some last minute gifts. These are all from Amazon so they can be at your door in as soon as a day! (Prices are current at the time I am writing this, but you know Amazon- they could go up or down when you look at the link.)
So without further or do <– I actually saw it that way for real last week and shed a little tear for English – here are some gifts that I think are pretty great!
Gifts for Her
Letter Board – I love the letter board we have at our apartment, but I love this one even more! I love the grey board and the gold and white letters. This is one of those gifts that will make the recipient think of you every time they change the wording! $25
Hair Color Chalk – omg, this is so much fun! These are combs that are filled with temporary chalk-based hair color. It washes right out, so it’s great for 1 night use. If you have tweens or nieces or teens who love going to their high school football and basketball games these are PERFECT for showing team spirit. I think my youngest daughter and her friends would have loved this in junior high and early in high school for home games! $17 for 6, with great reviews!
EO Diffusers for your CAR! – Odds are 100% that you know someone who is an essential oil enthusiast, right? These little diffusers are so pretty! They are stainless steel and come with felt pads that absorb essential oils. At $13 for a 2pk these are awesome! Your EO friend can use their own oils to surround themselves with their favorite scent which makes this 1000 times better than the citrus-scented cardboard pine tree rearview mirror dangly thing. 4.5 stars from over 400 reviews can’t be wrong. Right? (<– that’s how I choose new recipes, too!)
Iceland Mask Sheet Set – I am admittedly obsessed with traveling to Iceland asap, which may be why I’m drawn to this product, but a set of 10 facial masks for $12 is a really good deal and the reviews are great. This is a perfect stocking stuffer and if you have more than one girl you can divide the set up between them, making this a very cost-effective stocking stuffer. We have 4 girls, soooo <add to cart>. One of the great reviews is: Not only are the packages pretty enough to give as gifts but what’s inside is wonderful! They smell amazing & make my skin feel so good.
Black Pearl & Gold Eye Patches – Two of our daughters are going to LOVE these. Korean beauty care is all the rage and my daughters are totally into it. These under eye patches hydrate and help with under eye circles. 60 patches, $10, 300+ happy customers.
Precision Tweezers Set – Perfect for the Eyebrow Obsessed person in your life. This set has 10 different tweezers (who knew there were 10 different types of tweezers? Not I.) 400 people think they are great, making these another awesome gift! $16
Gold Moccasin Slippers – I love these! So pretty and they look so cozy. New slippers are such a treat, too! $30ish and available in gold, silver & pink.
Travel Mug – I know, everyone has a travel mug or 6. But do they have a CHAMPAGNE colored travel mug that stays hot (or cold) for 8 hours? Doubt it! This one is so pretty it’s sure to be the talk of the office or school pick-up gathering. Add a Starbucks card and this is the perfect gift. 16 ounces, $15
The Little Book of Hygge – Did you know Danish people are the happiest people in the world? It’s true, and it’s because they embrace the concept of “hygge.” Pronounced hoo-ga, hygge is the philosophy of comfort, togetherness and well-being. If you know someone who could use a little hygge in their life they will love this book. Throw in a pair of cozy socks and you have a great gift for less than $20!
Shadowbox Desk Calendar – This is such a cute, modern/minimalist desk calendar for a co-worker, teacher, executive- I think anyone on your list would love this! In black, white & gold with changeable tags for $15.
Gifts for Him
Hammer – Are hammers supposed to be gorgeous? I don’t know, but this one sure is! Perfect for pro’s and DIY’ers alike. 16oz, $27 Matching hatchet available, too.
Bourbon Infused Cherries – For the more refined bourbon drinker in your life these bourbon infused cherries ($17) for garnishing will be much appreciated. I have pecans soaking in bourbon as we speak that will be turned into chocolate pecan bonbons next week! So yummy! You can upgrade to the Manhattan set, which is the cherries + a small bottle of bitters, for $27.
Key Chain with Bottle Opener – This is great for the guys in your life! (And TBH, I’d love it too, because it has a carabiner clip which is a must for my keys because it hooks on to my dogs’ leashes and shopping carts, since I don’t carry a purse.) This has a bottle opener and two key rings (nice for home & work keys- much easier to find the correct house key!) and comes in a set of 2 for $9. If your recipient is over 23, this is a lot classier than having an actual bottle opener hanging off of your key ring. 😉
Smartwool CHUP Socks – Truly perfect for any man in your life because at some point, everyone needs a pair of cozy wool socks. Perfect for shoveling, skiing and lounging. 79% merino wool and $29 in a cute-but-manly snowflake pattern. (You know how some guys are about the word “cute.” 😉
Jack Spade Laptop Sleeve – This is so nice looking! Perfect for professional guys on the go. I love this so much! If my husband didn’t carry a backpack (and I could fit it in his stocking) he would be getting this. $48
Handcrafted Granite Whiskey Stones – Keep drinks chilled and not diluted with these handmade whiskey stones. 6 stones, $27
Slippers – My husband is a slippers guy and he would love these. (He just got a pair for his birthday.) These are non-slip and made with memory foam. 300+ people think they are warm & comfy. Starting at $24.
Bossman Essentials Beard Kit – This 3 piece set has everything your guy needs to keep his beard looking 100% great: beard oil, conditioner and balm. Loved by over 2000 people you can’t go wrong!
Key Smart – I bought this for my husband years ago when it was first introduced at The Grommet. It took his bulky keychain and turned it into a pocket-friendly key holder. He was not too sure about it at first, but he loves it! $23
Wireless Security Camera – I will be shoving this in my husband’s stocking this year. He’s been asking for one for awhile and for $50, I’ve relented. This one works with Echo, Echo Dot and Alexa. We don’t have any of those, so this may lead to a Valentines Day gift. 😉
Gifts for Everyone
Atlas Pasta Maker – The foodies in your life will love this pasta maker! It looks very easy to use, which is probably why it has over 2000 raving reviews. $80
Esarora Ice Roller – This handheld roller looks awesome! Supposedly it helps with wrinkles and fatigue- that, I’m not buying. What I like about it, and the reason I think it has potential as an amazing gift, is it is also great for headaches and minor injuries that would benefit from ice. As someone who has irregular (thank goodness!) migraines and regular headaches, this looks fabulous. It’s $17 with a 4.5 star rating from over 1000 reviews.
Stick On Wallet for Smartphones – So I have this friend, we’ll call her Doreen, (mostly because she’s a total dork and her name is Maureen – you can tell I’m fairly confident she won’t read this) who loses her debit card and license aboutttttt 42 times a day. I’m not even kidding when I tell you the last time I was at her house she said to me, “can you do me a favor and run outside to the car and get my debit card? It’s somewhere on the floor on the passenger’s side.” No exaggerating. You can ask her husband, who we will call Saint Joe. (Mostly because his name is Joe and he’s a freaking saint.) When we travelled for softball together I was in charge of making sure her cards went where they needed to, she had her chargers, her wedding ring…you get the point. So she’s getting this case. It’s my 2nd or 3rd attempt at cases for her. This one is very slim and since it’s not bulky, I think she will like it. The 2pk is $9 and has great reviews.
Tile – Also perfect for the person in your life that loses everything, these little tiles can be attached to everything from phones to keys to wallets. This 4 pack is $60.
Tiny Buddha’s Gratitude Journal – This is so cool! Do you follow tinybuddha on Facebook? You should check it out- it’s filled with goodness and all things happy, which is right up our alley! This journal is perfect for so many people in your life to allow them to reflect on things they are grateful for. It’s filled with writing prompts, coloring pages and questions designed for reflecting. $18
Amazon Fire Stick – The 4k Fire Stick will allow your favorite tv watcher to choose from 500,000 movies and TV episodes and watch favorites from Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, STARZ, SHOWTIME, CBS All Access, and others. Not bad for $35!
That’s What She Said – If your recipient is a board game/ game night fan, this new party game is HILARIOUS. Warning: It is raunchy af. It’s not called “the twisted game of innuendos” for no reason, so don’t play this with anyone you would be easily embarrassed around, and especially not around kids! That should not be confused with don’t play this around anyone who would be embarrassed to play this around YOU because watching your mother say words she’s never uttered in her life, and doesn’t really understand, is a real holiday treat, let me tell you. It’s very similar to Cards Against Humanity, but maybe dirtier, if you can imagine. $25
Corkcicle for Beer – These insulated can “koozies” are awesome. My brother’s girlfriend got us two of these last year and they are awesome. So awesome I’ve said awesome four times now. The bottom unscrews and goes in the freezer. They fit cans perfectly or there is a felt/wool sleeve that allows bottles to fit. We use these all summer long and our beer stays chilled to the last sip.
Camera Backpack – This is perfect for the traveler who loves photography! Pack your stuff in the backpack part and your camera and gear in the camera section. The camera bag slides out easily for quick access, too! $80
Pendleton Throw – I’ve always wanted an authentic Pendleton wool blanket and I love the buffalo check pattern on this one! $100
What do you think? Hopefully this was helpful for you! I ended up ordering a few stocking stuffers and the wireless camera, and I suggested the hygge book to my husband as something he could get me. 😉
Happy shopping!
