Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! My husband and I usually do something like go out to dinner or exchange small gifts, but not usually anything extravagant. Especially since our anniversary is just a few days later on February 18th! Sometimes if we go away for our anniversary Valentine’s Day ends up being in the same week, but that’s only happened a few times. This is kind of a weird year because Valentine’s Day is on a Thursday, we have dinner plans with friends on Saturday, and our anniversary is Monday. Since dinner with friends is already planned, I have been trying to think of some fun gift ideas for my sweetie of a husband.
I think my husband would love any of these ideas! What’s great is that these gifts are for every budget and range from just a few dollars to a few hundred dollars (for some pretty killer gifts, like a YETI cooler!) that guys will love. This Valentine’s Day gift guide for guys has you covered!

Travel More!
I LOVE this! My husband & I are on a mission to travel more and this “Vacation Fund” shadow box is a great reminder to save more money to put towards future vacations. Put the first $5 in it and you’re still under $20! (If your budget allows, a great add on is a luggage tag with the coordinates of your first date, where you met, your first home, etc. You can find all sorts of styles here on Etsy.)
Beer Lover
Is your husband beer lover? Mine is. It’s his drink of choice, so I know I can never go wrong with a 6 pack of his favorite craft beer! This Love You More beer glass is perfect for your beer lover.
Fun Socks!
Who doesn’t need socks? These XOXO socks are cute, but can still be worn to work. Add a little “You Knock My Socks Off” tag and this is a great gift!
Mmmm Coffee!
Aren’t these Hubby & Wifey mugs cute? We have a set of these at our cottage. They are our weekend mugs, lol! (We usually only see each other on the weekends. <boo>) We picked ours up at Target, but I haven’t seen them there lately…
Get Buck Naked
Have you seen the Duluth Trading commercials? OMG. They crack us up every.single.time! Totally makes me want to buy boxers for my husband. This Valentine pattern is on sale for $14!
Under $50.00
Cocktail Tower
This is great! Your guys favorite mixed drink made into a tower- bonus if the mixer is Valentines Day red.
Movie Night
If you’re staying in, make a fun night of it! Find a great dish and your husband’s favorite ice cream, drinks & some popcorn. Get caught up on your DVR’d shows, or buy a copy of the movie you saw together on your first movie date. Can you remember what it was? I can’t, lol! It’s been 16 years, my memory is only good for about 3…
NYT Puzzle
If your guy loves sports & puzzles, this NYT front page puzzle is pretty awesome! Choose the date his team won the championship and this is a sure win!
ECHO
If you don’t have an Alexa Echo Dot you’re just not living your best life. Sure, you could let your husband program it to respond when he asks when his next meeting is, or what the weather is, but that’s no fun.
I bought two dots recently. One for our cottage and one for my husband’s office. I got him one because you can say “Alexa, text so-and-so blah blah blah” without stopping what you’re working on to text someone. But the real benefit is the one for our cottage that *I* programmed.
Me: Alexa, who’s turn is it to do the dishes?
Her: Hello, Allison, by my calculations it is Ron’s turn to do the dishes. Ron, when you are done with the dishes, please take out the garbage. Thanks. You are a keeper.
Me: Alexa, I’m cold.
Her: Ron, please get Allison a blanket.
I’m telling you, this is THE MOST fun you can legally have for less than $50.
Shaving Stuff
The Dollar Shave Club is awesome. For $5 a month awesome razor blades are delivered right to your door. The first month comes with the razor handle and you can order an extra handle. We’ve had a subscription for 3 or 4 years now and will probably never cancel it! I ordered two extra handles, one for me & one for my daughter. The three of us share one subscription and there are plenty of blades for us!
On the “It’s a Litttttle Pricey” Side
Watch It!
How bad do I want an Apple watch? Bad enough to buy one for my husband knowing he’d never wear it. 😉 I can’t believe there are 4 versions already! This one is the 4th version, but I’m not picky and would settle for a Series 1…
Cocktails
There is a subscription box for everything, including cocktails! Check out this article at Urban Tastebud to find the perfect cocktail subscription box for your guy. There are 10 great ones to choose from at various price points starting under $40.
Man Crates
Have you heard of Man Crates? Me either. But they are pretty darn cool. I mean, really, where else can you get your man a bouquet he will love? Know why he’ll love it? IT’S SALAMI. There’s jerky ($30!). There’s whisky. There’s exotic meat. It’s really worth a look through the site because not only do they have tons of awesome gifts, it may even spark a DIY version for the perfect Valentines Day basket!
Gym Bag Fresh-up
This is a great gift basket idea- perfect for the guy who gets ready at the gym, but may need some new supplies. OR this would make a great “guy” spa basket! Add on: a couples massage or in home massage for a relaxing afternoon or evening.
Shoes
If your guy needs new gym shoes, you’re getting off pretty easy! Add a cute note to his favorite brand & style of gym shoes and you’re all set with a gift that will have you thinking of him every time he wears them.
Shades
This is actually what I should get my husband- some new, cute Maui Jim polarized sunglasses. He has a pair, he just can’t find them at the bottom of our lake… He replaced them with an absolutely awful pair he found in the checkout line at Menards.
YETI
If your guy is a backyard party guy, a BBQ’ing guy, a beach guy, a softball dad, a fisherman or a boater I bet you he wants a YETI cooler! The best part? It’s bear-resistant if you have a camping guy.
So, what are you getting your SO this year? If it’s not on the list, I’d love to hear about it! I’m always looking for great ideas.
