Slow Cooker Beef
I have been so busy lately you’d think time rewound to when my kids were insanely busy with travel sports! I don’t know how it is possible to be so busy all the time, but it’s been crazy around here! Anyway- another super delicious, super easy, super slow cooker meal is here for you to try. Every time I make this I wish I had doubled the recipe because it is sooooo good as leftovers!
The best part about this recipe is (if you don’t eat it all the first night!) it is great as a sandwich or over potatoes! Have it over potatoes one night and make sandwiches the next. One easy meal two ways?! Yes, please! Not much is better than knowing dinner is already taken care of after a long workday.
Easy Ingredients:
- 1 three pound(ish) Chuck roast
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 package of Ranch dip mix
- 1 package of Au Jus dip mix
Add the beef to your slow cooker, and then the butter and both seasoning packages. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, until the beef shreds nicely.
You will be SHOCKED at how good this is! We’ve been making it once a month or so ever since having it at a friend’s house last summer. It is so good as a sandwich or over mashed potatoes- it’s even excellent all by its lonesome straight out of the fridge. 😉
If you are in the market for a new slow cooker, I really like mine. It has a timer and when the cycle is done, it switches to “warm” until you get home!
