We recently went on an awesome extended vacation to Florida. You can read all about our three weeks of fun in the sun here! We spent every nice day at the beach, and as you know, no day at the beach is complete without a nice, cold beverage! For our first “official” beach day, we made my husband’s favorite cocktail – Moscow Mules! They are soooo good, and they are soooo easy to make with just a few ingredients!
Let’s get started with a little grocery shopping. You will need the following ingredients:
- Vodka
- Ginger beer
- Lime juice
- Limes
That’s it!
This recipe makes 1/2 gallon of Moscow Mules.
- 24 ounces vodka
- 36 ounces ginger beer
- 4 ounces lime juice
- Fresh lime wedges
Mix the vodka, ginger beer* and lime juice. Pour over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Easy peasy, ginger squeezy!
*About the ginger beer… MOST ginger beer is non-alcoholic (so look in the soda aisle if you can’t find it by the alcohol) and therefore, it doesn’t add to the alcohol content. The ginger beer we purchased WAS alcoholic (surprise!!! I thought all ginger beer was non-alcoholic…) so check the ingredients if you care about your liver.
A half gallon is enough for eight 8 ounce cocktails. (Or four beach sized cocktails…. 😉
LOOKS LIKE HAPPY’S FAVORITE COCKTAIL MAKING SUPPLIES
- I love this Moscow mule mug set. I got really lucky and found a set of vintage mugs when I was cleaning out my grandmother’s apartment!
- This gold bar set is bea.u.ti.ful and it has everything you need for all cocktail recipes.
- It’s time to ditch disposable straws, and with straws as pretty as these there will be no looking back.
- I really
wantneed to replace the gold bar cart I gave my daughter. I have the perfect place for it in our apartment, and since we entertain a lot it will definitely get put to use! There are so many to choose from- now to decide which one!
I’m a little partial to the three-tiered cart because it offers more storage space, but I love how modern the top two carts are!
